If you walk to the southwestern corner of the main east-west street and the 2nd ring road you will find the ancient observatory. It has a large stone structure that rises above the compound of low buildings. The stone tower has many large bronze astronomical instruments.
The tower doesn't look that high, but the first set of stairs is a long way up. The surprise is the second set of stairs when you turn the corner.
Here is a panorama photo of the astronomical instruments on the top of the tower. It's a complete 360º view.
