Beijing, China

No Web page on Beijing is complete without a picture of Tiananmen, which means Heavenly Peace Gate.

And of course the Great Wall. This shot is from 1993 on Roy's first trip to China. Also we have the largest cellular phone in the world, on the roof of the eight story Tianjin telephone building.

Many of the Palaces and other important buildings have this pair of lions out front. The male has a ball under his right paw while the female has a cub under her left.

We had a fun experience in the Pig Face Restaurant. Click for more.

Within a block of the east gate of the Temple of Heaven Park are two famous stores, the Yuanlong silk market and the Pearl Market. I made a few purchases of gifts at each. Click for more.

One of the spots I wanted really wanted to visit was the Ancient Observatory. Click above for more.

The City Streets were a constant source of frustration and amusement.
