When we drive two hours from Seoul down to Choungju we visit this factory where our product is built for us. It's a huge well organized and very clean building.

We always get a nice welcome from our friends at the factory. How many engineers does it take to get one assembly line person to stick together two pieces?

At the LG factory in Choungju they really go out of their way to make us feel at home. Mr. Koo, the plant manager always treats us to lunch in his private dining room on each trip. Here he his with a beef and steak fries lunch that was very yummy. Of course the dish in the lower left of the picture is the kim chi that goes with breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Koreans take special pride in the way they serve food, such as the desert of kiwi and orange slices shown here. I insisted on a picture with the chef before we left.

We also tried the local Choungju restaurants before we left. Unfortunately I didn't catch the first dish until it was mostly gone. Mr. Lee told us it was "ugly fish" though it tasted just fine. Later he corrected it to "angler fish", which is a pretty ugly fish. I found a picture of one in my Skin Diving magazin. Here is a plate full of bean sprouts with octopus on top and drenched in hot sauce. How much more healthy can you get? I'm taking a big bite of some octopus.
