We have been looking for a fun place to visit and to retire and decided on the city of Mazatlán in the state of Sinaloa on the west coast of the mainland of Mexico.
Mazatlán is a city with close to half a million inhabitants, a sea port and the largest shrimp fishing fleet in the world.
We picked Carnaval in February 2007 as the first occasion to go.
We decided that Mazatlán is the place and purchased a house that is going to be our project and vacation home for the next few years and eventually our place to retire.
